Background

In order to rent out their property owners are now required to apply for a temporary license through South Ayrshire Council. This is based on Scottish Government legislation around short term lets.

Failure to do so could lead to fines up to £2500

As well as meeting the legal requirements, obtaining a license also gives owners piece of mind that their property is compliant and safe for visitors.
