Cornwall Council's Enforcement Playbook: The Coastal Authority Template Other Councils Are Now Copying
Cornwall Council has, over the last two years, built one of the most active enforcement operations against unauthorised short-term let uses in England. Its constraint checker, its use of Article 4 Directions, and its willingness to prosecute have become the working template that other coastal and honeypot authorities are visibly adopting. Operators in the South West, East Anglia, Yorkshire and the Lake District should not assume their council is not next.
